OLYMPIC swimmer Tom Daley has revealed he is gay and has a partner.
The video, posted to YouTube and shared on his Facebook page, has already amassed over 21,000 likes and 3,000 shares on Facebook.
In the broadcast, the athlete said his other half made him feel safe, happy and secure.
"In spring this year my life changed massively when I met someone," the 19-year-old Olympic bronze medallist said.
"And they make me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great. That someone is a guy."
Daley, who was recently named the world's sexiest man by two separate magazines, said he was initially surprised he was attracted to another man.
"It did take me by surprise a little bit. It was always in my head that something like that could happen.

"But it wasn't until spring this year that things just clicked. It felt right and I thought 'Okay'. And my whole world changed there and then.
"I've never felt that comfortable talking about is my relationships before.
"Even when I'm doing sports interviews I get asked 'Do you have a girlfriend?' Who are you seeing?' I've been dating girls but never had a serious relationship to talk about it."
Recent years have been filled with monumental highs and lows for the swimmer who lost his father to cancer in May 2011.
"My life has been a bit of a rollercoaster," he said in the video.
"Losing my dad to cancer was one of the hardest things I had to deal with in my whole life, winning an Olympic medal in front of a home crowd, finishing my A Levels this year - it's been hectic."
Reclining on Union Jack bedspreads in his bedroom, Daley said he felt the need to publish the video after being misquoted in an interview.
"In an ideal world I shouldn't be doing this video because it shouldn't matter.
"But I was misquoted in an interview and it made me really angry and frustrated. Honesty is something I believe in," he said.
